ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Cobi Zerbst, a Gunggari artist creating contemporary Aboriginal artworks alongside figurative storytelling pieces. My work explores themes ranging from coastal landscapes to country, and from feminine softness to strength, connection, and identity.
Much of my inspiration comes from the life around me particularly my childhood. I grew up in a small country town, an experience that continues to shape my artistic voice. I was raised among strong women, surrounded by my mother and three sisters, which deeply influences my work.
I have always felt drawn to adventure, the outdoors, and connecting with the natural world. These experiences inform the stories and emotions woven through my paintings.
Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, I allow my art to flow intuitively. I let each brushstroke guide the moment, allowing the piece to reveal its own story as it unfolds. Through my work, I hope to evoke emotion and invite viewers into a sense of storytelling and connection.
Each piece is created with endless love, and I hope this is felt when you immerse yourself in the work.
